Welcome to my Website

Fast & Useful Mental Solution Stimulators - Two hours per week

I’m really passionate about solving stuck problems in international development, so created this website to show ways that environmental problems, climate change problems and economic development problems can move forward.

I’m also really passionate about growth and personal development, so have also created a health, happiness, psychology and personal development articles section to talk about this.

I want to particularly highlight the Shoulds article, which was really useful, the very bottom of the Environmental home page, which summarises the best environmental methods and priorities so far, and the income ideas article at the bottom of the page.

Because these areas are so complex, especially the environmental sciences, I want to add e.g. 15 learnings per week. It’s also my goal to keep adding paragraphs and articles to the other areas, especially around the environmental section.

I hope you like my website, and hope you find a hidden gem or five in here each time you visit.

3. Ways to Be More Environmentally Friendly & Socially Responsible

Fast & Useful Mental Solution Stimulators - Two hours per week

We’ve been regularly hearing that over the next 50 years, the world needs to become considerably more climate change friendly… However, what if we could include this with being environmentally friendly and socially responsible? And what if this could be worked on in a more incremental or easier way- so when you have the energy or resources or money, you know what to prioritise, and when you don’t, you can wait until you do.

However- what do we prioritise? During the times when we have more energy or money or resources and we want to help, how do we do this? We’re going to explore this topic here…

For the time that you have energy or resources or money, what are priority ways that you can shop and act more socially responsibly?

The Best Idea… Read This:

Fast & Useful Mental Solution Stimulators

Do you know what the best idea ever is, that should be rolled out to absolutely everything everywhere?

When you go to some supermarkets, some self-service checkouts have a step where you can donate $1, $2, $5 to a selection of several charities…

So if you have 200 shoppers make $2 donations, the supermarket raises $400 in just 1 day. I love this so much… And if supermarkets or shops choose 4 or 5 most needed or neglected charities to support, this is even more fantastic. And it’s so easy to do… You don’t need to take out your wallet, your checkout already says $87, so what is $5- or just $2- more? It’s so easy to do…

If you were a supermarket or business, what charities would you individually choose if you were to do this?

I would have a month’s worth of charities with a focus on neglected or most needed charities, and rotate them each week, with a choice of 4-5 charities for shoppers each week. And to have a really good 4 or 5 sentences for each neglected, urgent or most needed charities.

However, I get the feeling that this would only work if it was via self serve checkouts… Am I wrong? For example, when someone asks me, I feel pressured. But when it’s completely my choice, what is $2? It’s so easy… Well, if the descriptions of the charities are good…

It could even be a game… what are the 4 charities that most need it each month?

4. Ways to Understand the 100 World Economic Development Priorities

Fast & Useful Mental Solution Stimulators - Two hours per week

A lot of people think of the 100 most important world economic goals, as a hard to understand area, but it’s really just made up of lots of interconnected insights.

While methods to do with economic development NEED to be evaluated by a lot of experts before being rolled out on a large scale, the wider field of economic anthropology is made up of various things that people have noticed that support the 100 world economic priorities.

While it is true that I also have a background in technical economics, here are some of the building blocks I have noticed around the 100 most important world economic goals- i.e. building blocks via anthropological economics, or things that you notice that help to solution stimulate economic priorities (while at the same time making sure that they get evaluated BEFORE implementation).

For example, We know that we have 8 billion people… We know that each person’s spending is another person’s income... It would be so good to support everyone get closer to Level 10/10 happiness from their career rather than a Level 1/10 happiness. Therefore, how do we figure out which new and established industries have the best economic, environmental and social effects for our overall societies?

People are still following large parts of the plan in Adam Smith- the father of modern capitalism’s- books. Therefore, how do we write a new manifesto of what industries and spending types support the 8 billion the best?

Therefore, if you have the income, time and energy to spend in a socially good way once a month, or once a week, or once a fortnight, you know where best to do this. Let’s explore this below:

Continuing with the 10,000 steps theme, and depending on your time and income, here are some alternatives to single use plastics:

Plastic plates: Biodegradable Plates (greenpaperproducts.com)

Plastic cups: Biodegradable Cups

Plastic cutlery: Biodegradable Cutlery

Coffee cups: KeepCup Reusable Cups

Drinking straws: Restaurant Supplies

Takeaway containers: Take Out Containers

Some of these are sold in bulk only, but there is real potential here to buy in bulk and sell in smaller amounts at marked up prices- if- if- if- it is legally arranged with the company first (e.g. your own packaging around it).

Continuing with the theme above… did you know that the world consumes enough disposable polystyrene foam cups to go around the Earth 1,360 times- per year? Unfortunately, these polystyrene foam cups aren’t collected by the majority of council recycling services and often up directly in landfills. Therefore, a really easy way to help out is to buy a reusable version of these cups.

One brand that is both compostible & made from fully renewable materials is Ecotainer.

They currently sell in bulk, but- if it is legally arranged with Ecotainer first- there could be potential to onsell in much smaller quantities for a marked up profit:

When you have to buy a present for someone who is really hard to buy for, have you considered buying them 3 or 4 smaller things, and making one of these things a card or something meaningful (to them) from a Non-Profit Organisation?

For example, you could buy them sweets, a card or a donation with a special meaning to a charity, and two other small things that look good or have a personal meaning.

If you like the idea of charity cards, have a look at these ones:
